I run this site on Apache 1.3.12 running on FreeBSD 4.1.1. NetObjects Fusion 5.0 is used for the web design. Scanned pictures were scanned on an Epson Perfection 1200S. wwwcount 2.5 is used for the counters. phpBB 1.2 runs the forum. Photo pages are run by Slooze 0.2.3. Database and scripting handled by PHP 4.0.2 and MySQL 3.22.32. It all runs off an Abit TX5 motherboard with an Intel Pentium 200MMX overclocked to 225mHz. Memory is 64 megs, network card is a 3Com 3c905, storage is a Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 4.3g SCSI hooked to an Adaptec 2940 SCSI controller. This is all connected to the internet via a Motorola CableSURFR modem connected to a high-speed cable line from Time-Warner’s Road Runner service in Rochester, NY. DNS services are provided by MyDomain. Road Runner does use DHCP, so if the IP changes, the server will be inaccessible for a few hours until the updated IP can propagate to the world’s DNS servers. Such is the price of running a server in your closet. Until co-locating becomes more realistically priced, that’s the price I’ll have to pay. Total hits:
